on a more personal level we connect once a week in small groups to nurture friendships in an atmosphere of openness and honesty. uncompromising trust and respect makes the time spent together meaningful. all are welcome.

foundations are a five-part series of group encounters designed to provide momentum to an individual's spiritual journey in gentle, easy strides.

foundation 1 is an introduction to threshold spiritual concepts aimed at promoting same-page faith perspectives.

foundation 2 gives exposure to the inner workings of Shofar as a movement and provides an introductory visit to the vision, values, methodology and overall structure. at this point an invitation to formal membership is presented.

foundation 3 comprises a cursory exploration of the individual's emotional and relational odyssey and seeks to provide hope and strength for the road ahead.

foundation 4 is an enabling exercise designed to foster a more profound self-knowledge and an inner sense of release, restoration and peace in an atmosphere of sensitivity and security.

foundation 5 is geared to equip the individual to action and implement that which is thus far only intentional. the commitment to serve is activated and the mental focus is turned outward.

The Divorce Care Ministry focuses on the inner healing of those from broken homes. The consequences of separation and divorce for the individual, their family and friends, are often not considered or understood, while its impact on the wider community is greatly underestimated.

We strive to serve those in need of wholeness and happiness. The saying ”time heals all wounds” has proved to be wrong. Today we know that time only covers all wounds. Only Christ can heal all wounds.

We aim to run three 13 week seminars per year. That means that help will always be available. Anyone can start attending at any session.

Prochorus Community Development (PCD) is a non-profit, section 21 organisation established in 1996. This community-based organisation owes its existence to the consolidation of several projects, which have been running for several years. (Prochorus Community Developments, registration number 96 14653 08, RSA)

Prochorus possesses a wealth of human resources - in the form of volunteers with great and diverse skills and expertise. We believe that helping the poor is a privilege and task of the advantaged communities and we also understand the need for such a flow to be professionally managed so that the experience is meaningful to all involved and does not become and endless drain of resources. We act as facilitators for people and organisations that have a desire for making a meaningful contribution to the poor.

Through various community projects that have shown themselves to be beneficial and successful, Prochorus has made a significant contribution to the community. We, through these projects, have empowered, trained and developed skills on various levels from crafts to computer skills and even lateral thinking through our chess programs.

"One thing we have asked of the Lord, this is what we seek: That we may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of our lives, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His Temple." Psalm 27:4

This is our worship: That we have encountered the Lord Jesus Christ, God of Heaven and Earth. We know where we come from; we are well aware of where we are at present; but we ultimately understand where we are going. We understand completely that Jesus is enough. This is the source of our joy, the reason for our praise, the heart of our passion; this is our core. This is our worship.

THERE GOES MY HERO

LifeLight is excited to present to you Summercamp 2008.  Summercamp will be held at The Bergkroon campsite in Wellington, from the 8th to the 11 th of December 2008.
This will be our third year of hosting Summercamp and we plan on presenting this opportunity to the youth of our community for years to come.
Summercamp 2008 is a Christian youth camp for high school kids aged 13 to 18 and will consist of activities that include sport, adventure, arts, drama and music. We are expecting approximately 200 participants for Summercamp 2008.
We feel last year's Survivor theme was successfully fulfilled. Young people became comfortable with their own identities (Relate), they learned to stand up to life's challenges (Overcome) and they stepped into personal victory (Conquer).
We are very excited about this year's theme, “THERE GOES MY HERO”, which follows on last year's theme. This will allow them to better understand their purpose and to step into their destinies.
So join us for this year's camp where personal growth and a good time will be guaranteed.
