What
is the big issue???
Nobody knows better than
oneself that there is something inside us
that needs to be filled.
At some point in our lives we come to a
place where we take stock of our lives and
look back to see what we have amounted to.
Many people call this a mid-life crises,
but it does not depend on your age. It is
only a crossroad where you get faced with
the big question in life – “What
am I here for?” That eternal calling
in our hearts that tells us we were made
for so much more.
People can find temporal
fulfillment in many things like; alcohol,
drugs or sex but nothing can fill a hole
that only God can fill.
God has made provision
for us to fill this void in our hearts.
You see, God is a just God and when Adam
sinned against God in the Garden of Eden,
then justice needed to be executed and the
Bible says in Rom 6:23 ”For the wages
of sin is death, but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
So a just God has to execute justice. In
Romans 3:23 the Bible says “For all
have sinned and fall short of the glory
of God” which means because we sinned
should die, but John 3:16 says” Joh
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life. God sent Jesus to
the cross to die in our place, so that we
do not need to.
This means God has already made provision
and the only thing you have to do about
that gift is receive it!!
Maybe you are
thinking that your sin is too much and God
will not forgive you then read this story
about a woman who was caught in the act
of adultery in John 8:
John 8:3 And the scribes
and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken
in adultery; and when they had set her in
the midst,
John 8:4 They say unto him, Master, this
woman was taken in adultery, in the very
act.
John 8:5 Now Moses in the law commanded
us, that such should be stoned: but what
sayest thou?
John 8:6 This they said, tempting him, that
they might have to accuse him. But Jesus
stooped down, and with his finger wrote
on the ground, as though he heard them not.
John 8:7 So when they continued asking him,
he lifted up himself, and said unto them,
He that is without sin among you, let him
first cast a stone at her.
John 8:8 And again he
stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
John 8:9 And they which heard it, being
convicted by their own conscience, went
out one by one, beginning at the eldest,
even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone,
and the woman standing in the midst.
John 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself,
and saw none but the woman, he said unto
her, Woman, where are those thine accusers?
hath no man condemned thee?
John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus
said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee:
go, and sin no more.
You see, Jesus was the
only one who had the right to throw the
first stone at her. He did not do it, neither
will He condemn you when you come to him.
What must I do?
Romans 10:9 says”
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus
is the Christ and believe in your heart
that God has raised him from the dead, then
you will be saved.”
So if you want to fill
the void in your heart permanently, read
this prayer out loud.
Father, I come to you
in the name of Jesus and I know that I am
a sinner. Lord I believe that you raised
Jesus from the dead and I confess that Jesus
is the Christ. Lord Jesus come and take
over my life, be Lord of my life. Thank
you for dying in my place on the cross and
that I may have eternal life because of
that. I am sorry for my sins, forgive me
please. Thank you that I can now know that
I am saved. Amen.
